The Forest of Suriname at Naturalis biodiversity center, Leiden, The Netherlands
Suriname is the most forested country in the world. But the forest is under serious threat – the plants and animals, and the Indigenous and Maroon people who have lived in the forest for centuries and have a unique relationship with nature. We are excited that works by our visual artists Rinaldo Klas and Kit-Ling Tjon Pian Gi, as well as our craft artist Lola Ankarapi are part of this tribute to our nature.
