Kurt Nahar exhibits in Miami, Florida, USA: “The Whole World is Churning: Then and Now l Now and Beyond”
Visual artist Kurt Nahar is a proud participant in a fascinating new exhibition in Miami, “The Whole World is Churning: Then and Now l Now and Beyond”, curated by Rosie Gordon-Wallace, President of DVCAI. The show includes work by ten artists from the Caribbean diaspora who investigate, deconstruct and reinterpret the past, present and future with an emphasis on memory and materials. Kurt’s bold and captivating installation “Namamayana” questions the issue of racism and discrimination based on skin color and appearances, while our different backgrounds, cultures and characteristics should instead be recognized for the enrichment and strength that they bring to our societies.
The exhibition is on display in the Monsignor William Barry Library at Barry University in Miami until April 18, 2025.
