This sculpture is made of cement, sand, wood, polyurethane foam, polystyrene foam, chicken wire, rubber, leather, textile, metal, threaded rod and screws.

This sculpture represents the Surinamese worker who, even after 45 years of independence, has still not been able to develop himself into a prosperous citizen in an also far from prosperous Suriname. The hoe symbolizes the primitive. The worker is being shoved in the back by ‘dickhead’ Corona, symbolizing the profound impact of the Coronavirus on an already struggling Surinamese community.
