The Kibi wi totem art installation

In honour of the first of july commemoration of the abolition of slavery in Suriname (july 1, 1863) Marcel Pinas built an imposing art installation on the lawn of the Fort Zeelandia complex in Paramaribo, Suriname. 

You can experience this installation from july first through july fifteenth, 2006.
